Terminology for Smokers

What do the numbers mean?

The numbers like "100's" and "120's" describe the length of the tobacco rod in millimeters.
What is the difference between menthol regular?
The other kind of cigarettes are called 'non-menthol' or regular. The difference is menthol cigarettes non-tobacco additive that make them minty tasting. People usually prefer one or the other.
What is there besides menthol and regular?
The next major flavor is Clove. It's just the spice but in cigarettes. Some brands of clove cigarettes are super duper strong, strong enough that you should sit down before smoking. There's also cherry, chocolate, orange, mint, mango, and Perique, which is "vaguely cucumber-y".
Does filter/non-filter matter?
Non-filter cigarettes come in short stubby packs, and don't have a filter end (that's the foamy thing) and you can light either end. They are very easy to inhale from, like breathing through a straw. You get a lot more smoke. They aren't recommended for beginner smokers. Non-filters have tar and nicotine levels 30-45% higher than their filter counterparts. Fiber released from filters is said to increase the risk of lung cancer.
What about Lights, Mediums, Ultra Lights?
Lights typically have 50-70% the level of nicoine, Ultras have about 30%. The different intensities are for people who dislike the harshness of full flavor.
Non-menthol cigarettes with a filter are the most common type of cigarette. They come in two standard lengths, "kings" and "100's." 100's are longer, but often skinnier than king-sized cigarettes. They come in full flavor, light and ultra light varieties, the difference being the strength of the flavor.
